Why I stopped Meet your SEO

Hey guys,

it’s been a while. I mean, you missed me right? I know. I miss you too.

I received some emails over the past days asking me a big question: “why did you stop publishing the weekly, awesome, amazing, incredible, super wow “Meet your SEO” series?” (I might just add some adjectives here, but I cannot tell you why).

Yeah, it’s true. I stopped. And here is why.

Seth Godin’s startup school

Seth Godin

A quick note. You can now listen Seth Godin talking to entrepreneurs about how to run successfully their start-up.

It’s a cool way to learn new things, with audio format instead of reading a long post. I’m listening to it when I’m working. It’s like been in a conference without being at the conference.

And if you understand italian, check out my translation of Godin’s “Stop Stealing Dreams” manifesto about education. The project is called “Non rubate i sogni”.

To be reassured on Twitter

I used to play some drum

God, I love the world because there are tons of things I don’t understand, I don’t get about people.

Not saying it’s wrong, but way people sometimes behave is opening up a lot of questions I made to myself, listening to Porcupine Tree’s “The Incident” or other music.

Why people want to be reassured on twitter? or on Facebook? why the heck they need desperately the opinion of a stranger or of a virtual person? And if you try to disagree, you’re out, because somehow your answer is not what they wanted to hear.

Why people need to spam walls asking for approval on a last post or article?

Why people love what they don’t know, just because they think they have the chance to get in touch with the god of the topic they’re talking about?

Why people tend to think always in order to get something rather than just for the beauty of it?

Why people think they need twitter as the only environment and don’t think outside of the box?

Yeah, all questions and no answer. Maybe I don’t even care about answers. I’m just finding dangerous to have a micro environment on twitter or other social network and think that people inside of it are the ones that really matter for a decision in your life.

Well, you’re wrong. You really are.
