Humility in SEO: what a stranger!

I noticed this tweet by Samuel Crocker :

I replied to him saying that “delivery supported by humility” was gonna be my leitmotif of the day.

Well, this makes me think. I am new on the SEO world, so I cannot talk too much but I think that “humility” as a positive way of thinking and acting is lacking in a lot of cases (or should I say people?).

Italian genius beating Google

psychiatrist

Last night I was in front of my mac, losing time on stupid things over the web.

At a certain point my girlfriend Giulia said to me: “look at this!” . What? I’m gonna tell you.

Italians are geniuses. I know that, but I even know how Italians are not so much into geek stuff.  But after this, I have to think again.

We all know Google. And we all know that in Italy the domain is google.it. Well, you know, sometimes when you are in hurry you can misspell things, writing the wrong URL, for example.

If you search for www.googlw.it , the magic happens. I mean, that URL is redirected to www.bancali.it , a awful site about selling pallets and related stuff. The site is really awful, and is owned by an italian person.

Download movies and music for free

isam by amon tobin

There’s a lot of talking about Hollywood failing and music industry that is not able to face people downloading everything.

I am a big passionate of music, mainly electronics. I like watching movies, not as much as I listen to music, but still it’s a great way to spend some time off. I love TV series, especially the american ones.

Now, there is something wrong in the system. I know a lot of people who never buy an album or a dvd, because they simply download all the stuff they want, illegally. They don’t care to have some physical items with them , they don’t care about the joy to open a double vinyl or to watch a movie in HD quality and some extras too. But they enjoy the product. The product is made by someone (musician, artist, director…) that has to live with what he’s producing. The simple thought is: you keep downloading stuff, till you reach a point where you are not going to download anything since that TV series or that album will not exist anymore, because you didn’t pay for it. And the artist gave up.

Google+ vs Facebook: an opinion

This is the story of me, falling in love with Google+.

When Google+ came out , I tried to get an invite as soon as possible to enter the new Google social network . Why? Because it’s something from Google, and it’s always worthy to see what the Big G is doing.

When I was in for the very first time , I immediately notice the design: freaking amazing, and a lot of better than Facebook.

Problem is: nobody was there and so I just played around a bit to see new features and differences with facebook.
